The EPA EVN-QB70-3 is a vortex pump for building strong pressure in medium-scale water systems. Its cast-iron body and textolite impeller let the pump work under high pressure for extended periods. The check valve on the outlet prevents backflow, while the aluminium motor housing sheds heat quickly and keeps the pump cool. The 600 W motor lifts water to a height of 55 metres and serves several outlets at the same time.

Application

Used to boost water pressure in private homes and multi-storey buildings, to draw water from wells and tanks, to feed irrigation systems in gardens and greenhouses, to supply water to second- and third-floor bathrooms and water heaters, and to keep pressure steady automatically when paired with a pressure tank.

Note on use

The pump is not designed to handle water containing abrasive particles (sand, clay) — such particles quickly wear the impeller and body, gradually reducing pressure. If installed outdoors, the pump must be insulated in winter — otherwise the water inside may freeze and damage the housing.
